January 21st

Back on the road.

Friends,

I hope this note is finding you well.  Its almost midnight here in Saskatoon.  I'm restless as can be - thinking about the coming days, weeks, months.  I have to say - its been nice to be at home over the holiday season.  Its definitely been interesting - semi restful - and really great to see friends and family here in Saskatoon.  Its been a cold few weeks here - makes for good hibernating weather I reckon.

Its that time again where I am packing bags, and guitars, getting the oil changed in the car - getting ready to head out on the road again.  I am excited for the next few months - we've got lots of exciting things planned.  Tomorrow is the start of a month long tour - Starting in Regina, I'll be making my way across the prairies from Winnipeg all the way out to the west coast, and for the first time I'll be heading south of the border!  I've been waiting for the right chance to head south to share some songs down there, and things just happened to line up.  I'll be playing shows in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.  I'm real excited to be heading out on the road with Colorado singer songwriter John Statz - he writes some fine songs, so make sure you check him out.  All tour dates and info on where we'll be playing can be found here

I'm also really excited to announce that I'll be showcasing at this years Folk Alliance International Conference - if you don't know what that is, its a really large gathering of folk and roots musicians - sort of a nerd fest.  More fiddles and banjos then one could normally handle - but it all balances out with the amount of beer thats floating around.  It should be a good time, I'll be showcasing about seven or eight times over the course of three days.  Super excited to see what comes of that.

After making my way back up to Canada I'll be taking a couple of days to rest up - then right back out to play some shows in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.  We're still ironing out some of the details - but I'm hoping I'll be playing a handful of shows in Europe in April and May - I also have some plans to play a handful of shows in Australia at the end of May.  I got the feeling its going to be a busy spring!

Heres to hoping it all comes about and that the car keeps running and that I'll see your smiling faces out there.  Thanks so much to ya'll for following along on this journey of mine.

I'll see you further down the road,

Zachary Lucky
